This role is focused on data center design and operations within AWS Infrastructure Services. You will collaborate with various teams to assess and select colocation facilities that meet business requirements. The position requires a strong understanding of data center infrastructure and the ability to influence design standards. Requirements
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities including data centers.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience in researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment.
- Professional Engineer License.
- Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments against AWS standards for collocation data centers.
- Perform risk analysis and availability calculations for vendor owned and operated collocation data center infrastructure.
- Influence AWS design and specification requirements for colocation products.
- Investigate and document root-cause failure analysis associated with infrastructure failures.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commissioning teams to validate system performance.
- Support operations and data scientists in performance analysis on critical systems.
