Job description

The Full Stack Software Engineer will join the Data Center Availability team at AWS, focusing on developing software solutions for Condition based maintenance, Asset management, and Global Environmental Information Management Systems. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams to enhance operational excellence and deliver high-quality services. The engineer will work on automating and supporting large-scale infrastructure while ensuring the highest standards for safety and security. The position offers an inclusive culture that encourages innovative ideas and ownership of projects.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with Python or Java
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Experience with enterprise-scale infrastructure or development-based cloud programs/projects
  • Experience working with Data & AI related technologies, including AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
  • Experience with large distributed IT systems

Responsibilities

  • Design full stack software solutions to enable new features or improve existing software.
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify customer needs and convert them into goals.
  • Suggest and implement best practices for coding, design, and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of automation opportunities within an operations environment.
