The role involves working with the Serverless Analytics Compute team at Amazon Athena to define the future of serverless compute for petabyte-scale analytics workloads. The team is focused on building a compute orchestration platform that simplifies the management of distributed compute workers. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to high-scale analytics services. Candidates will have the chance to develop expertise in distributed systems and serverless compute orchestration.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, or distributed software applications
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy strategic technical projects
- Deliver large-scale, high-performance production systems
- Design new software systems of distributed technology
- Mentor engineers and provide leadership on complex technical issues
