The Software Development Engineer in the Payments Security organization will focus on building and delivering scalable software applications that enhance security automation for Amazon Payments. The team is dedicated to creating innovative solutions that protect a vast payment ecosystem, handling millions of transactions daily. This role involves close collaboration with security engineering teams to implement security features and improve operational efficiency. Candidates will engage with diverse stakeholders to understand their needs and drive automation initiatives.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 3+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or 4+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Experience with programming languages like Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, or Java
• Experience in AWS cloud-native development and infrastructure as code
• Experience in security systems such as identity & access management and threat detection

• Design, architect, develop, test, deploy, and deliver scalable software applications or services.
