Requirements
- Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing and the development of exploits.
- Experience with web protocols, common security attacks, and remediation.
- 2+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, or 2+ years of IT Security experience.
- Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
- Knowledge of network and web-related protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP.
- Experience in more than one major programming language and at least one scripting language.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem-solving abilities.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct application security reviews.
- Perform penetration testing.
- Engage in projects and research work as needed.
- Provide security training and outreach to internal development teams.
- Develop security guidance documentation.
- Create security tools.
- Deliver and improve security metrics.
- Assist with recruiting activities and administrative work.
