Job description

As a software development engineer on the Aurora DSQL commit team, you will focus on building high-performance systems responsible for DSQL's write path. The team values collaboration and mentorship, fostering an environment where knowledge-sharing is encouraged. You will work on innovative software solutions that ensure the ACID properties of DSQL at massive scale. This role offers the opportunity to solve challenging technical problems and drive efficiencies in software architecture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
  • 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Solve challenging technical problems at every layer of the stack
  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions
  • Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products
  • Research implementations that deliver the best possible experiences for customers
  • Create metrics, implement automation, and resolve the root cause of software defects
