NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated technical engineer to join the Tegra system-on-chip software organization. The role focuses on enhancing the ARM software ecosystem and system software architecture to achieve optimal datacenter-scale performance and efficiency. The engineer will work on both pre-silicon and post-silicon phases of software development for next-generation SoCs. This position offers an opportunity to influence performance optimizations across NVIDIA's software products and open-source SDKs.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of relevant computer architecture or software development experience.
- Proven leadership skills and strong ownership on past projects.
- Hands-on technical experience in complex software and hardware designs.
- Strong understanding of multicore hardware, operating systems design, and real-time programming.
- Strong skills in performance analysis, data analysis, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and optimize software for next-generation SoCs.
- Review architectural performance bottlenecks for various system-wide workloads.
- Identify hardware/software policies to drive performance and performance/watt leadership.
- Build and drive architecture and analysis documents for internal and external audiences.
- Conduct competitive analysis comparing workload performance metrics on NVIDIA's ARM SoCs.
- Influence and drive full-stack adoption of performance optimizations across NVIDIA software products.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
