Job description
This role is part of the Silicon Engineering team focused on developing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient graphics processors for Apple products. The position involves ensuring that Apple devices can efficiently handle complex tasks, contributing to the GPU development lifecycle from feature specification to silicon bring-up. The candidate will collaborate with various engineering teams globally to maintain high quality and efficiency standards for Apple GPUs. This impactful role emphasizes designing, developing, and maintaining workloads for GPU architectural validation and design verification.
Requirements
- Experience with GPU APIs like Metal, OpenGL, DirectX, Vulkan, CUDA, or shading languages.
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills.
- Knowledge of key graphics rendering algorithms.
- B.S. degree and 3 years of experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the software graphics pipeline and its application to computer graphics and/or ML.
- Architectural validation and design verification knowledge.
- Knowledge of hardware architecture and/or graphics hardware.
Responsibilities
- Design and build workloads for GPU architectural validation and design verification.
- Collaborate with teams involved in all stages of the GPU development lifecycle.
- Develop tools and techniques to ensure the GPU is functional and performant.
- Work alongside teams in Architecture, Modeling, Performance, Power, Design Verification, Silicon Validation, Software, and Manufacturing.
- Ensure Apple GPUs meet the highest quality and efficiency standards.
