The Lead GenAI Forward Deployed Engineer for YouTube GTM Operations will be part of the AI Accelerator team, focusing on driving AI transformation across YouTube's business operations. This role involves collaborating with product management and stakeholders to create innovative AI solutions that enhance operational efficiency. The engineer will leverage their expertise to build prototypes and transition them into production-grade systems. The position requires a strong background in software development and a passion for applied AI to address complex business challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a related quantitative field.
- 9 years of experience building APIs or web applications and designing scalable microservice architectures.
- 8 years of experience in full-stack development using programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, C++, or TypeScript.
- 4 years of experience working with teams and business stakeholders to create product roadmaps.
- 4 years of experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- Build GenAI proof of concepts to demonstrate feasibility to stakeholders.
- Serve as the engineering lead delivering complex AI applications.
- Act as a trusted engineering partner to product management and stakeholders.
- Author technical designs and write clean, maintainable code.
- Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks.
