Job description

As a Technical Program Manager III at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects focused on the physical network program strategy for global data centers. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage project schedules. This role involves optimizing network infrastructure designs to support high-performance computing and AI/ML workloads. You will also mentor junior team members and drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, operations, and product teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience in technical program management, managing network infrastructure, physical data center design, or hardware development programs.
  • 5 years of experience with data centers and physical network infrastructure design.
  • 5 years of experience with cluster networking, including network topology and fiber connectivity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of physical network reference design programs.
  • Partner with internal Network Architecture and Engineering teams to co-architect next-generation physical network designs.
  • Optimize physical serverhall layouts, rack configurations, and cable routing pathways.
  • Navigate complex physical constraints such as space, power, and cooling.
  • Apply technical domain knowledge of Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) fiber infrastructure.
