AMD Design LLC is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) Systems Design Engineer to focus on researching, designing, developing, and testing electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance post-silicon validation strategies and methodologies. Candidates will lead the development of complex integrated circuits and evaluate various aspects of the design process. • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Four years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering or software developer role.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in the same fields and six years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience.

• Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
• Develop pre-silicon readiness and post-silicon plans to validate specific IP Systems.
• Identify and root-cause failures found in SoC validation and characterization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve post-silicon validation test strategies.
• Develop post-silicon validation infrastructure including software, hardware, automation, and lab setup.
• Lead the definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
• Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
• Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
