AMD is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Three years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a relevant field and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
- Experience in Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
- Experience in logic and circuit design.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Lead the definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
- Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop ASIC/layout design.
- Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance.
- Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics to contribute to company objectives.
