The MTS Silicon Design Engineer at AMD's subsidiary Xilinx, Inc. is responsible for defining, designing, verifying, and documenting ASIC development. The role involves determining architecture design, logic design, and system simulation while contributing to multi-dimensional designs of complex integrated circuits. The engineer will evaluate the entire process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use. • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
• Three years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role
• Alternate combination of education and experience accepted: Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience

• Define, design, verify, and create documentation for ASIC development
• Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation
• Define module interfaces and formats for simulation
• Contribute to the development of multi-dimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits
• Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use
• Analyze equipment to establish operation data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results
• Review vendor capability to support development
• Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively
• Apply engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of company products
