Job description

AMD is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Four years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in the relevant fields and six years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
  • Experience in hardware verification and implementing comprehensive verification strategies.
  • Proficiency in Verilog, System Verilog, or UVM.
  • Knowledge of C, C++, or Python programming languages.
  • Familiarity with SoC, CPU, or GPU architecture.
  • Experience working in Unix and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Lead the definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop ASIC/layout design.
  • Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance.
  • Exercise independent judgment to select methods and techniques for obtaining results.
