Job description

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
  • Experience in object-oriented programming.
  • Familiarity with software development processes, including tools like debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub), and profilers.
  • Knowledge of OS kernel and systems development.
  • Experience with memory management and multi-threading.
  • Proficiency in Git, data structures, x86-64 architecture, and open-source software development.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software.
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products.
  • Understand and define software requirements and architectures.
  • Develop software and tools in support of design, infrastructure, and technology platforms.
  • Define proprietary platforms, including hardware and software components.
  • Drive software and systems solutions, including development and product definitions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop systems-level software.
  • Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance.
  • Exercise independent judgment to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
