Job description

AMD is seeking an MTS Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role emphasizes collaboration within cross-functional teams to tackle complex engineering challenges. Candidates will leverage their knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles to drive significant technical projects. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • One year of experience as a Design Engineer or in a closely related engineering occupation.
  • Experience in physical design of deep submicron digital ASIC chips.
  • Familiarity with submicron ASIC design flow.
  • Proficiency with ASIC design tools including synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, and static timing analysis.
  • Experience working in Unix or Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of backend design and verification.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Lead the development of multidimensional designs for complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop ASIC/layout designs and address complex issues.
  • Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively.
  • Apply engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of AMD products.
