Job description

AMD is seeking an MTS Systems Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves overseeing ASIC development and collaborating with cross-functional teams to address complex engineering challenges. Candidates will utilize their knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles to drive projects of significant technical importance. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
  • Alternate combination of education and experience may be accepted, including a Bachelor's degree with five years of progressive experience.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop ASIC/layout design and address complex issues.
  • Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics to resolve complex issues creatively.
