Job description

AMD is seeking a Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • One year of experience as a Design Engineer, Embedded Engineer, or in a closely related engineering position.
  • Experience in C, C++, or Python.
  • Familiarity with Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
  • Experience in Unix or Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of CPU or SoC architecture.
  • Understanding of logic and circuit design.
  • Experience with ASIC design and ASIC design tools, including synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, and static timing analysis.
  • Experience in large scale ASIC chip physical design.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of various factors.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment.
  • Apply engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of AMD products.
