Job description
The Silicon Design Engineer role at AMD focuses on researching, designing, developing, and testing electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field.
- One year of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
- Experience in Object Oriented design.
- Experience in formal verification and post-silicon validation.
- Experience in hardware verification and SOC/system architecture.
- Proficiency in RTL Design/coding, Verilog/VHDL, and functional verification of microprocessors.
- Familiarity with ASIC design tools, including synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, and static timing analysis.
- Experience in Unix/Linux environments.
- Knowledge of SV, UVM, Python, and CPU architecture.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Create various test cases to enhance coverage.
- Debug and correct regression failures.
- Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
- Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
- Work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of various factors.
- Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment.
