The Analyst role in Life Sciences Deal Execution at Goldman Sachs Alternatives focuses on managing deal execution and supporting ongoing pipeline and portfolio management for Life Sciences transactions. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and involves overseeing internal processes from diligence through closing. The role also includes participation in investment discussions and working closely with the CIO on portfolio analysis. The Analyst will be based in San Francisco and will contribute to the team's strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a strong academic and professional record
- Between 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in investment banking operations, private equity/growth equity operations, or transaction management
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder processes end-to-end
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with comfort working with transaction materials
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Responsibilities
- Drive day-to-day deal execution workstreams across the transaction lifecycle
- Own internal transaction process items and approvals, proactively driving them to completion
- Project manage transaction execution by coordinating with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Operations
- Support active pipeline management including maintaining a weekly dashboard and assisting on sourcing analyses
- Support structuring and documentation processes by coordinating inputs and facilitating deal execution
- Lead stakeholder and pipeline workstreams including consulting agreements and advisor invoicing
- Partner with investing teams on post-close asset management support
- Contribute to execution best practices and process improvement
