Job description
The Process-Mechanical Engineer role at Jacobs focuses on water and wastewater projects, providing innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive process mechanical engineering and project delivery experience with water, wastewater, and/or industrial treatment.
- Strong interest in treatment and/or mechanical system design and operation.
- Proficient skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Responsibilities
- Evaluate pumping, treatment, and process options to determine the best approaches to solve client challenges.
- Plan and design full-scale pumping and treatment systems, including treatment plant improvements for construction.
- Develop facility layouts and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Create construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Conduct data analysis and computer modeling.
- Write technical reports and provide bidding and permitting services support.
- Support construction services and perform field inspections of treatment and mechanical equipment.
