The Apple Services iCloud Mail team is seeking a passionate Java Server Engineer to enhance and scale the distributed systems that support iCloud Mail globally. This role involves tackling significant technical challenges while ensuring user data remains secure and accessible. • 7+ years of professional experience in server-side Java development.
• Deep understanding of security principles for modern microservices, including mTLS, authentication, authorization, and security auditing.
• Expertise in building scalable services using asynchronous programming, non-blocking I/O, and multi-threading.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra and Redis.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and deploying services in a cloud infrastructure.
• A strong sense of ownership, with shown experience leading the full lifecycle of multiple services.
