Job description

The Privacy & Data Protection Engineering (PDPE) organization at Netflix is seeking a strategic Product Manager to lead privacy and data protection product initiatives. This role involves collaborating with various engineering and business teams to develop products that ensure responsible data use. The focus is on creating tools and frameworks that facilitate safe data practices while supporting business growth. The ideal candidate will drive the product roadmap and influence cross-functional teams to adopt privacy solutions.

Requirements

  • Product management experience building products related to privacy engineering and data governance challenges is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to connect privacy and data protection investments to business outcomes.
  • Experience driving technical, multi-team execution across engineering functions.
  • Strong understanding of global privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Familiarity with data lifecycle management and consent management.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own a strategic roadmap for privacy and data protection domains.
  • Drive adoption and execution of cross-organizational privacy solutions.
  • Translate privacy principles and business requirements into actionable product requirements.
  • Own the product vision for data governance tooling.
  • Identify opportunities where governance unlocks business value.
  • Build business cases and measure impact through defined KPIs.
  • Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.

Benefits

  • Employees at Netflix are often offered flexible, people-first benefits—unlimited time away, generous parental leave, global family-forming support, mental-health programs (mindfulness, free counseling/coaching), and health coverage tailored by country. Financially, Netflix pays at personal top-of-market and lets employees choose their mix of cash vs. fully-vested 10-year stock options, alongside donation and volunteer matching. Convenience perks can include trust-based travel/expense policies, relocation support, and “Work, Not Drive” rideshare flexibility.
