Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join the Memory Subsystem Team, focusing on embedded firmware development for memory subsystems. The role involves working at the hardware/software boundary on DDR/LPDDR firmware and power management features. Candidates will engage in both pre-silicon validation and post-silicon phases, contributing to cutting-edge hardware/software co-development. This position requires a blend of software expertise and a strong understanding of digital and analog systems.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 years of embedded firmware development experience.
- Understanding of core embedded building blocks such as CPUs, memory hierarchies, and DMA.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing bare-metal control firmware.
- Proficiency in C/C++ with a solid grasp of data structures and compilers.
- Strong debugging instincts and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Work on hardware/software co-development from architecture through deployment in silicon.
- Implement C/C++ embedded firmware for memory subsystem initialization and low power states.
- Develop C models for hardware IP blocks for pre-silicon firmware validation.
- Support silicon bring-up and lab validation including board bring-up and log triage.
- Profile and refactor existing embedded firmware to improve code coverage and performance.
