Job description

The Hardware Engineer role at Google focuses on driving progress in hardware design and validation. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in hardware engineering or a related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field, and 2 years of experience in hardware engineering or a related occupation.
  • 2 years of experience in hardware subsystem and system design, systems architecture analysis, general PCB layout and design principles, and hardware validation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify flaws in electrical components, PCBs, or systems and implement corrective solutions.
  • Evaluate hardware design feasibility based on product requirements and scope projects.
  • Apply best practices to optimize complex electrical components and systems for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Drive documentation of electrical design, implementation, and test results throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Review and approve electrical designs, including block diagrams, schematics, layouts, and bills of material.
