The Senior Security Engineer for Google Photos AI Security will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure operating environment for Google's users and developers. This position involves collaborating with software engineers to identify and rectify security vulnerabilities within the Photos infrastructure. The engineer will also contribute to the strategic direction of security practices across the organization, impacting a product with over a billion users. The role requires innovative problem-solving and the application of advanced security techniques to protect users and products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
- 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
- 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
- 1 year of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to develop the Photos security strategy alongside the other Photos security leads.
- Perform project security reviews for Photos.
- Review, develop, and implement secure operational practices to provide security guidance for engineers and support staff.
- Conduct threat assessments to identify vulnerabilities and new attack vectors against Photos infrastructure and products.
- Drive product vulnerability response and remediation, including repros, mitigations, and hardening.
