Job description

The Platforms and Devices Senior Silicon Engineer role focuses on developing custom silicon solutions for Google's consumer products. The team aims to innovate hardware experiences that enhance performance and efficiency. Engineers will work on both pre- and post-silicon validation processes, ensuring high-quality silicon for various products. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to support product launches and volume ramping.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in Silicon Engineer-related occupations.
  • 5 years of experience in the Silicon development process from SoC definition through end-product volume ramp.
  • 3 years of experience in at least three areas such as Test-planning, Power and Performance evaluation, or Silicon Architecture.
  • 2 years of experience in coding and silicon/system debugging.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, simulate, and validate targeted tests for pre- and post-silicon validation.
  • Document pre- and post-silicon validation tests to ensure usability.
  • Manage the execution of validation plans to ensure robust silicon quality.
  • Develop hardware and software platforms to validate custom silicon chips.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product volume ramp and launch.
