Job description

The Apple Manufacturing Design Engineer (MDE) plays a crucial role in leading the development and implementation of innovative manufacturing processes across Apple's global supply base. This position involves close collaboration with various teams, including Industrial Design, Product Design, and Manufacturing Design, to create effective manufacturing solutions for iPhone enclosures. The MDE is expected to bring creativity to Apple's manufacturing approach while ensuring that solutions meet quality, cost, yield, capacity, schedule, and environmental goals. A strong passion for manufacturing and engineering excellence is essential in this collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical product development, manufacturing engineering, tooling engineering, or high precision fabrication.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or related fields is preferred.
  • Understanding of core principles of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
  • Strong communication skills to influence data-driven manufacturing decisions.
