StubHub is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Platform - Streaming & Storage team. This role focuses on designing, building, and evolving critical infrastructure for streaming, messaging, and storage systems. The engineer will lead the development of scalable platform capabilities and modernize services within StubHub's distributed systems. The team is responsible for foundational products that support high-scale, reliable services across various business-critical workflows.
Requirements
- 5-6+ years of professional experience in software development
- Experience with developing robust, mission-critical systems using one or multiple general-purpose programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or C#
- Expertise in designing and optimizing distributed systems, including microservices architectures and message queuing systems
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and enhance system scalability, reliability, and performance metrics
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Design and develop SDKs, services, shared packages, and tools to enhance engineering efficiency
- Architect and implement high-performance, scalable services used by internal customers
- Serve as a subject matter expert in distributed caching and messaging
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to identify technical inefficiencies and propose scalable solutions
- Drive initiatives to improve performance and scalability across the platform
