Job description
Arcadis is seeking a Project Water Quality Engineer to join the National Resilience Water Team in Hanover, Maryland. This role focuses on providing technical expertise in water quality and treatment, particularly in relation to Lead and Copper and PFAS regulations. The engineer will support national leaders in implementing drinking water regulations and address complex water quality challenges. The position involves mentoring junior staff and contributing to strategic initiatives in water quality management.
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience in water quality, regulations, and research
- Master’s degree in engineering
- Engineering-In-Training (EIT) license
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks
Responsibilities
- Support national leaders in implementing National Primary Drinking Water Regulations
- Contribute to programs and projects addressing complex water quality challenges
- Assist with pilot testing and technology evaluations for water treatment
- Conduct in-depth technical research on alternative water quality solutions
- Mentor junior staff members and oversee tasks of varying complexities
- Prepare project scopes, work plans, budgets, and schedules
