This role is part of Microsoft's CoreAI team, focusing on the Experimentation Platform (ExP) that enhances AI-driven applications through high-scale online experimentation. The position involves collaborating with various teams to advance experimentation methodologies and ensure the delivery of quality features. The ideal candidate will bridge gaps between researchers and product teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship. This role emphasizes the importance of scientific rigor and the application of advanced tools in driving business outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience OR Master's Degree AND 4+ years related experience OR Doctorate AND 3+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Preferred: Doctorate in relevant field AND 6+ years related experience.
- Experience with agent-based architectures, frameworks, and technologies.
- 3+ years of experience developing and deploying products or systems at multiple points in the product cycle.
- Proven track record designing and scaling online experimentation platforms.
- Demonstrated thought leadership in product measurement strategy.
- 5+ years experience creating publications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with researchers to translate applied research into production-quality features.
- Provide technical guidance and insight to cross-functional teams on AI tools and methodologies.
- Ensure teams develop advanced subject matter expertise across specialized tools and methods.
- Interface with experimentation partners to translate requirements into platform capabilities.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to less experienced team members.
