The Video Computer Vision organization at Apple is focused on developing advanced technologies for future products. This role involves working with a team of experts in computer graphics, computer vision, and machine learning to create 3D reconstruction algorithms. The position aims to produce ground-truth data for training machine learning models, impacting millions of users. The engineer will contribute to both algorithm development and the creation of APIs for machine learning engineers.

• BA degree in computer science, computer graphics, computer vision or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ or Python, writing clean and well-structured code.
• Strong knowledge of 3D graphics and geometry processing.
• Solid mathematical foundation in linear algebra.
• Experience developing user-facing APIs for complex systems.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• MS or PhD in computer graphics, computer vision, computer science, computer engineering, machine learning or related fields.
• Proficiency in both C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with computer vision algorithms.
• Understanding of SW/HW parallelism, threads, processes and asynchronous processing.
• Excellent communication and experience working with multi-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with proven track record to optimally prioritize and deliver tasks on schedule.
• Passion for delivering high quality software to end-users.

• Design and implement 3D reconstruction algorithms.
• Benchmark and optimize algorithms for real-world human reconstruction problems.
• Develop new reconstruction algorithms and build core APIs for machine learning engineers.
