Job description
The iPhone team at Apple is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to take on significant challenges in systems hardware design. This role involves designing future Apple products from concept through to mass production. Requirements
- BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
- 2 years of industry experience
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals including analog and digital design
- Experience working with dynamic multi-functional teams
- MS in Electrical or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or equivalent is preferred
- 3-7 years of industry experience is preferred
- High speed digital design experience
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout
- Hands-on lab experience with hardware bring-up and debug
- Fundamentals of signal and power integrity
- Understanding of low voltage power regulation solutions
- Familiarity with the challenges of taking a product from design through to production
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Own the design, integration, and validation of rigid boards and printed flexible circuits
- Develop overall system-level solutions that push the boundaries of technology
- Collaborate daily with multi-functional technology teams
- Participate in the hardware design process from concept to mass production
- Utilize scripting languages to assist with hardware development
- Travel internationally as opportunities arise
