Engineers will integrate enterprise and commodity hardware, develop management tools, and ensure efficient deployment processes. The position requires a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph.

Requirements

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes is essential.
  • Experience with systems administration on either Linux/UNIX or Windows operating systems is required.
  • Experience with distributed systems at scale is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement enterprise-scale security solutions from conception to production.
  • Design and develop high-availability distributed systems with an emphasis on security, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • Lead the development of custom security tools and frameworks for system hardening, threat detection, and automated incident response.
  • Architect and implement zero-trust security models for critical infrastructure components.
  • Design and build custom APIs and middleware solutions for security system integration.
  • Develop advanced automation frameworks for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment and configuration management.
  • Create sophisticated monitoring and alerting systems using machine learning for anomaly detection.
  • Implement cryptographic solutions for secure communication between distributed systems.
  • Design and implement custom authentication and authorization protocols.
  • Lead technical design reviews and security architecture assessments.
  • Mentor junior engineers and establish technical best practices.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs.
