The AWS Security team is seeking a motivated professional to join its high-security systems engineering team, focusing on managing the operation of the physical access control system (PACS) and automating a robust architecture for future growth. Requirements
- The candidate must be a US Citizen.
- The candidate must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure is required.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust is necessary.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes is essential.
- Experience with systems administration on either Linux/UNIX or Windows operating systems is required.
- Experience with distributed systems at scale is needed.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement enterprise-scale security solutions from conception to production.
- Design and develop high-availability distributed systems with an emphasis on security, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Lead the development of custom security tools and frameworks for system hardening, threat detection, and automated incident response.
- Architect and implement zero-trust security models for critical infrastructure components.
- Design and build custom APIs and middleware solutions for security system integration.
- Develop advanced automation frameworks for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment and configuration management.
- Create sophisticated monitoring and alerting systems using machine learning for anomaly detection.
- Implement cryptographic solutions for secure communication between distributed systems.
- Design and implement custom authentication and authorization protocols.
- Lead technical design reviews and security architecture assessments.
- Mentor junior engineers and establish technical best practices.
