Job description

This position focuses on defining and implementing cloud reliability and observability strategies to ensure the continuous availability of cloud systems. The role involves collaboration with architects and enterprise teams to adopt modern cloud infrastructure, primarily using AWS and EKS. The candidate will address engineering issues across software, network, applications, and cloud service providers while translating divisional initiatives into business solutions. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior team members and advising senior management on technical strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or a Master's degree in a similar field.
  • 5 years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer or 3 years with a Master's degree.
  • Experience developing full-stack web applications on cloud platforms using Python and Flask framework.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and implementing Microservices REST API architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GIT, and Artifactory.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in architecture design teams.
  • Define and implement application-level architecture.
  • Develop applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
  • Recommend development testing tools and methodologies and review test plans.
  • Ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
  • Establish full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
  • Meet project goals on-time and on-budget.
  • Advise on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
  • Plan and coordinate complex project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
  • Act as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
  • Provide technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
  • Advise senior management on technical strategy.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Perform independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects.
