This position involves building and supporting resilient and scalable cloud-based platforms on AWS, GCP, and Azure. The role focuses on designing and enhancing APIs and REST APIs while leveraging Object Oriented Design and Service Oriented Architecture in an Agile environment. The candidate will develop RESTful APIs using JSON and Node.js, translating business initiatives into software solutions. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior team members and advising senior management on technical strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field and three years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing highly performant and concurrent RESTful Web Services and GraphQL queries.
- Experience in full stack development including analysis, design, testing, and deployment using Java, Node.js, Angular, Vue.js, and RESTful Web Services.
- Experience building and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Enterprise Jenkins.
Responsibilities
- Participate in architecture design teams.
- Define and implement application-level architecture.
- Develop applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
- Recommend development testing tools and methodologies and review test plans.
- Ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
- Establish full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
- Meet project goals on-time and on-budget.
- Advise on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
- Plan and coordinate project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
- Act as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project and technology issues.
- Provide technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Perform independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects.
