Job description

The Principal Mobile Developer will build, debug, and support mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. This role involves designing and maintaining automated UI tests to ensure application reliability and performance. The developer will collaborate with mobile development teams and other departments to uphold code quality and deliver high-quality software in Agile environments. The position also emphasizes mentoring other developers and advocating for mobile engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or a Master's degree with relevant experience.
  • Five years of experience as a Principal Mobile Developer or closely related occupation, or three years with a Master's degree.
  • Expertise in developing iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.
  • Experience in developing Android applications using Java, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Espresso.
  • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and SonarQube.

Responsibilities

  • Build accessible experiences on iOS and Android platforms.
  • Mentor other iOS and Android developers in a collaborative environment.
  • Support engineering teams using modern development principles.
  • Define mobile engineering standards and best practices with platform squads.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine design feasibility.
  • Consult with customers on project status and technical issues.
  • Develop and execute software testing and validation procedures.
