Job description

The role involves building, testing, and engineering database and batch applications hosted both on-prem and in the cloud. The focus is on developing highly scalable systems that support large transaction volumes using various technologies and methodologies. The position requires expertise in continuous integration and delivery practices, as well as experience with ETL solutions and cloud migration. The candidate will work on complex projects and contribute to multiple initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field, or a Master's degree with relevant experience.
  • Three years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer or one year with a Master's degree, specifically in developing and troubleshooting data pipelines using Oracle.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and optimizing large-scale database and batch-processing applications using PySpark, SQL, and Shell Scripting.
  • Experience in developing highly scalable ETL batch solutions using AWS Glue and AWS DMS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts.
  • Design applications or subsystems on major projects across multiple platforms.
  • Support and perform all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assist in planning and conducting user acceptance testing.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting corporate initiatives.
  • Establish project plans for projects of moderate scope.
  • Perform independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects.
