Job description
This position involves researching, designing, and developing software for specialized utility programs, focusing on automating infrastructure processes using Python and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. The role requires configuring network components and integrating cloud services while ensuring security protocols are followed. The candidate will work with cloud networking and security constructs, particularly in AWS or Azure environments, and advocate for innovative technologies such as Serverless and Machine Learning. The team emphasizes maintaining high reliability and uptime for internal and external business operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or a Master's degree with relevant experience.
- Three years of experience as a Senior Network Engineer or closely related occupation, or one year with a Master's degree.
- Demonstrated expertise in network management on routers and switches, including configuring security devices.
- Experience troubleshooting problems in on-premises and cloud environments, specifically AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools such as Terraform and Cloud Formation Templates.
Responsibilities
- Identify, mitigate, and resolve issues impacting business operations to ensure minimal disruption.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, including device failures and connectivity problems.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to enhance performance.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate systems and develop specifications.
- Maintain databases within the application area and update software capabilities.
