The Principal IT Data Analyst role focuses on evaluating and validating data models and datasets while breaking down large initiatives into manageable deliverables using Agile methodologies. The position involves analyzing datasets to generate actionable insights and building enterprise data lakes and cloud data platforms. The analyst will also design and maintain dashboards and reports, automate business processes, and support data integration through APIs. This role requires collaboration with various teams to translate business requirements into high-quality data solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of experience as a Principal IT Data Analyst or a Master's degree and three years of experience in the same role.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and developing data services across the data lifecycle using various technologies including Snowflake and Python.
• Experience in analyzing and profiling large-scale datasets and using SQL for data lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of data modeling and implementing data models to consolidate information from multiple databases.

• Collaborate with business partners and engineering teams to convert business requirements into data models and SQL queries.
• Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends and insights that inform business decisions.
• Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document data lineage from source to consumption to ensure transparency.
• Conduct complex projects and participate in Agile project delivery, taking ownership of deliverables.
• Develop techniques or applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using programming languages and visualization software.
• Apply data mining, modeling, and machine learning to extract information from large datasets.
• Visualize and report data findings to stakeholders.
• Identify business problems that can be addressed through data analysis.
• Prepare analytical reports to inform operational decisions.
