Job description

The role involves developing system level test programs for the debug, characterization, qualification, and production of SoC devices within the Silicon Technologies group. The engineer will work on high-performance, power-efficient processors and ensure that Apple products can efficiently handle complex tasks. This position requires collaboration with various teams to support the productization of next-generation SoCs. The engineer will also be responsible for analyzing performance data and driving improvements in silicon characterization activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3 years of experience in system level testing and characterization of SoC devices.
  • Understanding of test and characterization of High-Speed IO PHYs, PLLs, Sensors, and related electrical specifications.
  • Experience working with Digital, Mixed Signal, and SOC Devices.
  • Familiarity with statistical data analysis tools for high volume characterization.

Responsibilities

  • Characterize parametric performance of High Speed IO PHYs, PLLs, Sensors, and other Custom HardIPs.
  • Define characterization plans and perform statistical data analysis.
  • Drive ATE-Bench correlation and data reviews across cross-functional teams.
  • Work with DFT and design teams to evaluate IP testability and drive new silicon debug.
  • Perform failure analysis to root-cause issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Complete yield and correlation analysis for all test insertions.
