Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Linux Kernel Software Engineer to join their Linux networking drivers R&D team. This role focuses on crafting and implementing Linux kernel networking drivers for NVIDIA ConnectX and BlueField network adapters. The work environment is dynamic and challenging, emphasizing innovation and collaboration across global teams. The ideal candidate will contribute to high-quality code development and drive complex technical issues to resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of proven experience in the field
  • C programming experience at a native level
  • Experience with Linux kernel-level programming
  • Deep understanding of networking drivers and software/hardware interaction
  • Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, and network device driver architecture
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
  • Strong ability to self-manage and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

  • Craft and implement Linux kernel networking drivers for NVIDIA ConnectX and BlueField network adapters.
  • Develop high-quality code for the Linux kernel and open-source environments.
  • Collaborate and debug with teams across the globe to provide the best networking solutions.
  • Drive complex technical issues to closure that may occur across team boundaries.
  • Manage the complete engineering process including requirements refinement and implementation.
