Job description

The Software Development Engineer role on the Selling Partner Trust team focuses on building systems and AI-powered experiences to enhance the selling experience on Amazon. The team aims to protect sellers from fraud while ensuring transparency and trust in the marketplace. This position requires a technical builder who can navigate ambiguity and deliver exceptional software solutions. The engineer will have ownership of the software systems and will work on high-performance platforms that serve millions of requests daily.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related role
  • 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, or distributed software applications
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

Responsibilities

  • Build GenAI-powered seller experiences at scale and production systems that leverage foundation models.
  • Design and implement high-performance platforms and services that handle millions of requests per day.
  • Develop trust and remediation systems that help sellers understand and resolve issues quickly.
  • Drive the technical direction of the team across a wide range of technologies.
  • Conceptualize, design, build, test, and own software systems end to end.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
