The Embedded Software Development Engineer will be responsible for building and owning server-related firmware within the AWS Hardware Engineering team. This role involves collaborating with a diverse group of engineers to create innovative solutions for data center infrastructure challenges. The team focuses on developing high-quality components that support AWS's global infrastructure. The position offers the opportunity to directly impact product improvements and contribute to the success of AWS services.

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience
• 5+ years of experience with software development for server platforms
• Understanding of server platform design and architecture
• 5+ years of experience with BMC (baseboard management controller) development
• Experience with systems management protocols or standards such as I2C, MCTP, PLDM, Redfish, USB, SPDM, PCIe
• Experience with accelerated server design with GPUs
• Experience with operating complex systems at cloud scale

• Develop server Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) software.
