Job description
This role is focused on developing and delivering innovative technologies for Amazon S3 Tables, a cloud object store designed for massive scale data management. The team is at the forefront of large-scale data management and actively contributes to the Apache Iceberg project. Engineers will work on building reliable and cost-effective data ingestion systems while ensuring compatibility with popular analytics engines. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of open table formats and work in a dynamic environment with a growing customer base.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design and bring innovative products to market.
- Design and build technologies in a large distributed computing environment.
- Investigate design approaches and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Deliver working code that is maintainable and extendable based on feature specifications.
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant, and low-cost distributed storage and query systems.
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software.
