Job description

The fleet engineer at KLA will focus on measuring fleet performance and identifying opportunities for optimal availability and throughput. This role is part of the KLA Services team, which is dedicated to maintaining high performance and productivity of semiconductor manufacturing products. The engineer will utilize strong analytical skills to recommend features and develop data science models to address technology and process challenges. Effective communication and collaboration with internal and external partners will be essential to meet the company's objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability working in the semiconductor industry, particularly in process control and fab equipment management.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with statistical analysis techniques.
  • Experience with analytical tools used in the semiconductor industry, including JMP and SQL.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills to collaborate with teams and present findings.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the fleet and individual semiconductor equipment tools meet commitments in terms of availability, throughput, and consistency.
  • Conduct statistical analysis on tool data and component performance to identify trends and tackle potential issues.
  • Monitor tool behavior and data to identify excursions, anomalies, or deviations from expected performance.
  • Regularly assess the availability and performance of the tool fleet, discovering opportunities to optimize throughput.
  • Engage with internal and external partners to cultivate effective collaboration and address concerns.
