The EHS Engineer role at KLA focuses on supporting the Services organization with environmental and safety programs at semiconductor manufacturing facilities. This position is part of the Global Workplace Services team, which is dedicated to fostering a safe and productive work environment. The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance and developing safety procedures to mitigate risks. Requirements
- Minimum five years of EHS experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a related industry.
- Bachelor's Level Degree with at least three years of relevant experience in a large facility or multiple locations.
- Ability to work in a multi-functional environment and engage others to resolve problems.
- Excellent communication skills to convey EHS requirements to a diverse audience.
- OSHA 30 Hour Training preferred.
- Experience with EHS Management Systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide EHS support for Service operations in customer cleanrooms at semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
- Develop and implement safety programs and procedures to foster a safe work environment.
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain inspection records.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analysis/Risk Assessments and develop hazard control strategies.
- Advise teams on pre-task plans and tool service procedures.
- Partner with managers in incident investigations and corrective action deployment.
- Provide EHS guidance for high hazard operations including laser devices and electrical safety.
- Conduct periodic audits related to EHS management systems and compliance.
- Participate in site Emergency Response programs including first-aid and fire evacuation.
- Maintain chemical inventory and hazardous waste records.
- Organize employee training sessions.
- Attend KLA Services and Customer safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
