Job description
Ring is looking for a Data Engineer to join their team, focusing on building and maintaining efficient data pipelines that support various business stakeholders. The role involves working closely with software development engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders to design and implement data solutions that enhance customer experience. The team manages a centralized data repository and supports GenAI Agent platforms, ensuring data hygiene and compliance. This position requires adaptability to new technologies and collaboration across multiple verticals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases or data stores
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience working in or building GenAI enhanced data pipelines
Responsibilities
- Collect and discuss requirements from business stakeholders across various verticals
- Build new data ingestions using a combination of Native AWS services and internal Amazon tools
- Maintain and improve existing data ingestions to meet evolving standards and corporate mandates
- Build, improve, and maintain frameworks or tools and GenAI Agents for internal and external stakeholder usage
- Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are followed for ETL and data hygiene
