Job description

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Azure Core MCIS team, you will play a vital role in automating Azure datacenter processes and facilitating efficient workload migration. Your work will involve collaborating with various teams to optimize operational efficiency and enhance the performance of Azure's cloud services. This position offers a unique opportunity to dive deep into Azure's architecture while contributing to significant business impact. The role supports flexibility in work location, including remote work options.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Drive identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.
  • Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to establish and improve performance and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario.
  • Leverage subject-matter expertise of product features and partner with appropriate stakeholders to drive project plans and work items.
  • Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guide other engineers in monitoring system/product/service for degradation and initiating restoration actions.
  • Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends and technical solutions to improve product availability and performance.
